The San Diego Humane Society & SPCA will host their 15th Annual Walk for Animals Saturday, May 2, 7:30 a.m. at Crown Point Shores, Mission Bay.
The 1/4 mile Walk was created to celebrate animals, while raising funds for San Diego pets. This year’s goal is $400,000, and is currently just greater than $160,000.
“Our pre-registration numbers indicate that we will have many, many people attending the walk!” said the Humane Society’s Senior Development Associate Deborah Hansen. “We thank you all so much for your participation in this wonderful fundraising event which helps to support the many programs and services we provide to both people and animals in our San Diego community.”
Walk registration will begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by breakfast at 8 a.m., and the Walk kicking off at 9 a.m. Festivities will continue 10 a.m. to noon, including the Vendor Village, refreshments, and live music.
Scooble.com, the online resource for finding the best pet food and services, will also be handing out goody bags full of special treats to participants.
To pre-register for the Walk and receive fundraising tips, visit www.sdhumane.com. Incentive prizes will begin at $50 raised.
All attending dogs must be leashed and sociable.
