OC Pets' Day Full of Fun

Local pets are in for a treat Sunday, June 7, when Orange County hosts two of their biggest pet-friendly events of the year!

The Irvine Animal Care Center’s (IACC) 3rd Annual Super Adoption Event will be held 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 6443 Oak Canyon Road, Irvine. Along with the more than 40 animal rescue groups and hundreds of adoptable dogs and cats, activities will include low-cost microchipping, pet-related vendors, a silent auction, raffle, and children’s play area. Plus, event greeter Snoopy will be handing out discount coupons to Knott’s Berry Farm.

Minutes away in Old Town Tustin, the 25th Annual Tustin Street Fair and Chili Cook-off will take place 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Festivities will include craft booths, vendors, a kids’ carnival, music, and more. New event attractions include the Watermelon Eating Contest, Battle of the Bands at Peppertree Park, Wine Booths, and $5 Pancake Breakfast benefiting the Knights of Pythias. The Breakfast will be held 7 to 10 a.m. at the Knights of Pythias Hall on Main St. and El Camino Real.

Scooble.com, the online resource for finding the best pet food and services, will join both events: “We’re happy to be a part of this pet-friendly OC day, and will be handing out goody bags of pet treats to attendees of both events,” said Scooble.com’s Rob Chell. “
