Paws In The Park To Benefit North County San Diego Animals

The Escondido Humane Society will host their annual fundraiser Paws in the Park Sunday, March 29, 8 a.m. at Kit Carson Park, 3333 Bear Valley Pkwy., Escondido.

The 1.5/2.5 mile walk was created to raise money and awareness for homeless and abandoned animals in North County San Diego. This year’s goals are $100,000, and 1,250 walkers.

“Last year, we surpassed our fundraising and participation goal, and are on our way to another great year!” said the Humane Society’s Director of Development Abigail R. Kouzi.

Walk registration, breakfast and entertainment will begin at 8 a.m., with the Walk kicking off at 9 a.m. Activities following the Walk will include the Canine Couture and Wet T-Shirt Contests for dogs, games, shopping, Ask the Vet booth, and more.

Scooble.com, the online resource for finding the best pet food and services, will also be handing out goody bags full of special treats to participants.

To pre-register for the Walk, participate as a virtual walker, or for fundraising tips, visit www.escondidohumanesociety.org. Incentive prizes will begin at $50 raised.

Paws in the Park will be held rain or shine. All attending dogs must be leashed, sociable, and have current vaccinations.
