Inland Empire Pets' Fun-Filled Weekend

Inland Empire pets and their owners will have plenty to do the weekend of March 21! The Riverside Humane Society Pet Adoption Center (RHSPAC) will host their 17th Annual Walk with the Animals Saturday, March 21, 8 a.m. to noon at Fairmount Park in Riverside. Plus, Redlands community pet store Paws will host professional pet photograph sessions Sunday, March 22, noon to 5 p.m.

RHSPAC's annual fundraiser event will include the Walk around Lake Evans led by Grand Marshal Cindy Davis of KOLA 99.9 FM, pet boutique, contests, pet adoptions, vaccinations, and more. First prize for collecting the most pledge money is a Saturday night stay for two at the historic Mission Inn, with Sunday brunch.

Walk with the Animals is free and open to the public. Registration/pledge forms are available at www.petsadoption.com, may be picked up at RHSPAC, 6165 Industrial St., Riverside, or by calling Sandy at 951-688-4340. Registration and pancake breakfast will begin at 8 a.m., with the Walk kicking off at 9 a.m. Fairmount Park is located at 2601 Fairmount Blvd., Riverside.

Complete the weekend by having your pet’s photo taken by Moonlight Magic Photography the following day, March 22, at Paws. Packages start at $49.99 and require a $10 deposit in advance. To schedule an appointment, call 909-793-0898. Paws is located at 912 N. New York St., Redlands.

Scooble.com, the online resource for finding the best pet food and services, will be on hand at both events to offer free goody bags to attendees as well as inform them of services in the area. “It’s always great to attend Inland Empire events because this is Scooble’s community!” said Scooble.com’s Rob Chell. “Plus, RHSPAC and Paws are both a pleasure to work with.”
