The Wellness Community-South Bay Cities will host their 5th Annual Fido & Friends Walk Sunday, March 8, 10 a.m. at Veterans Park, 309 Esplanade, Redondo Beach.
The fundraiser will benefit The Wellness Community-South Bay Cities’ ongoing support programs for cancer patients and their families. “Not only will you be creating fun memories for local dogs and their families, you’ll also be touching the lives of so many people with cancer,” said The Wellness Community’s Jeannie Schmidt.
Walk activities will include a K-9 demonstration, animal adoptions, Kathy’s Critters Petting Zoo, kid’s zone, Best Doggie Costume Contest, and more.
To pre-register for the Walk, visit www.wellnessandcancer.org/specialevents.htm. A $50 entry fee per person/pet pair includes an event t-shirt, doggie bandana, and doggie goodie bag. Late registration is 9 a.m. the day of the event, and is $55.
Scooble.com, the pet service locator connecting pet owners to the best food and services, will also be handing out special treats to participants, including free samples of PetHabitats.com’s environmentally-friendly FlushEze™.
The Wellness Community - South Bay Cities offers a professional program of emotional support, education, and hope to cancer patients, their families and friends free of charge.
